Our spines are divided into four parts: cervical area, dorsal area, lumbar area and sacrum area. These areas are the physiological curves that arise due to the bad postures we adopt both while standing and while sitting, especially when we lift excessively heavy weights.
POSTURAL HYGIENEPain in the dorsal area is directly linked to the postures we adopt: if we keep a bad position without keeping our backs straight, vertebrae can lose their parallelism and that is the start of back pain, which is worsened by painful muscular contractures —very common nowadays.
What can we do to improve our postural hygiene? Stopping bad postures during the day (while sitting, squatting, lifting weight…), doing the right exercise and stopping physical inactivity, among other measures.
