What is a cookie?A cookie is a small text file placed in your computer, phone or any other device by a website and it contains information on your navigation in that website. Cookies are necessary so we can browse websites and do it more easily; plus, they do not damage your computer.
The collected data allow us to preserve information among websites and also to analyse your interaction. Cookies are safe, since they can only store the information placed by the browser on your side; that is to say, information the user has entered in the browser on those data included in the site request. They cannot execute code and they cannot be used to access your computer. If a website encrypts the information of a cookie, only the website can read it.
What are cookies used for?Cookies are an essential part of the web. Our cookies mainly aim at improving your navigation experience. For example, they help us save your purchase and your navigation preferences (language, country…) and recognise you in future visits. The information contained in the cookies allows us to also improve websites by estimating usage numbers and patterns, adapting the website to the individual interests of the users, speeding the searches…
What a cookie IS NOTIt is not a virus, a Trojan, a worm, spam or spyware. It does not open pop-up windows and it is not harmful to your information or your computer, phone, tablet or electronic device.
¿How many different types of cookies are there? As per their function we can distinguish the following types:
• Technical cookies
These are the most basic cookies and they allow us to, among other things, know when the entity navigating the website is a human being or an automatized application; and when an anonymous user is navigating or when a user is registered. These are basic tasks for a dynamic web to work.
• Analytic cookies
They collect information about the type of navigation of the user, the most used sections, the seen products, the usage time slot, language, etc.
• Advertising cookies
They show advertisements regarding the navigation, the country of origin, the language, etc.
As per their origin, we can distinguish:
• Own cookies
These are the cookies generated by our website (nightbra.com) when a user accesses it. Only our site can read them.
• Third-party cookies:
Cookies sent from external services or providers such as Mailchimp, Mailrelay, Facebook, Twitter, Google Adsense, etc.
As per their active time:
• Session cookies
Session cookies are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses the website. They are usually used to store information which is useful for the supply of the service requested by the user in one single occasion (for example, your shopping cart).
With this type of cookies, information is collected in a terminal and it can only be accessed and treated for a limited period of time by the manager of the cookie. This periods of time may range from some minutes to several years (for example, your access country).
Cookies putting in risk your privacy will never be used.
If you prefer to restrict, block or remove the cookies from our site, you can do it by changing the setting in your browser. Even though the way to do it depends on the browser you use, the most usual way to do it is through the “preferences” or “tools” menu. If you want to get a broader control on the installation of cookies, you can install programmes or complements in your browser, known as “Do Not Track” tools, which will allow you to choose the cookies you want to allow.

SESSION VARIABLESA session is a programming mechanism that allows to keep information about a user which is temporarily stored in the server and lingers when moving from one site to another. Unlike cookies, the data linked to a session are not stored in the client, but in the server; plus, they disappear when the user closes the browser.
The variable identifying a session is called $_SESSION[nombre]. In many occasions, sessions are implemented by means of a cookie storing a value which identifies the user in the web server in such a way that all the data of the session are accessible every time the user moves from one site to another thanks to the identifier stored in the cookie (session cookie PHPSESSID).
Please find below the session variables we use:
» Cart session: $_SESSION[carrito]: used to save your purchase.
» Currency session: $_SESSION[coin] and $_SESSION[convertcoin]: used to indicate the price of the articles in the currency selected by you with its current exchange rate with regard to the euro.
» Language session: $_SESSION[idioma] and $_SESSION[pais]: used to save your preferences regarding the language and the country from where you access our website.
» Bookmarks session: $_SESSION[lastvistaas]: used to inform you of the articles you have visited in our website.
» Activity time session: $_SESSION[tiemposession]: it limits the inactivity time in the website and the session break time.
